Date: 09/21/1999

Number: 1

What a wonderful fall. We still have Monarchs. Yesterday we released 4 Monarchs and had the "birth" of three females. As reported by Mrs. Otteson's 2nd grade class at Vandyke ELC. 'To emerge on Tuseday, 9-21-99, "Cindy" at 11:15 am, 'Jenny" at 12:25 am, and "Speedy" at 12:37 pm. Happy Birthday!! All are doing well and are comfortably stretching their wings." Tese Monarchs will be released on 9-22-99. At 8:05 am Wednesday one more emerged and we are waiting on two more. The school is alive with excitement and interest. It's time to get our friends out of here so they can continue their journey to Mexico. More later. L. Wangsness
