Sighted two adult Whooping Cranes about 15:30 CDT 22 Sep 1999. They were flying south. Sighting was not absolutely certain since I know it to be quite early in the season. However, I had seen a flock of White Pelicans earlier in the afternoon, and these birds were quite different. White with black wing tips.
