Signs of Fall

Date: 10/04/1999

Number: 1

This weekend we had our first hard freeze.Temperatures have been below freezing 3 nights in a row.Tonight it's supposed to
be a bit warmer the remainder of the week is predicted to be above freezing. The colors of the leaves are at their peak the
next couple weeks. Most trees haven't lost their leaves yet although some of my students report particular trees in their yards losing a high percentage of their leaves. It's been two weeks since we've seen any monarchs, although several students saw a lone monarch resting on a pine tree outside the classroom window.Robins have also disappeared. It's been two weeks since my students have reported seeing any robins.
