Observations from Rocky Knob, VA:
I watched from 9:20 a.m till 2:30 pm and saw only 2 monarchs. The wind was from the southeast during the morning, sometimes blowing above 20 mph. By afternoon it had shifted to the east,
with some occasional gusts from the northeast. As I was driving home I saw about a half dozen monarchs in Montgomery County, so they're still moving.
