Beautiful Indian Summer day, sunny, warm, light breeze. About 100 monarchs flying from north to south, right over my yard. They were beautiful! Some were right at ground level, bumping into us, not stopping for anything. Some were so high in the sky, they were barely a dot. First time in my life I have experienced something so wondrous - so very happy my little one was with me to share it! It's a shame the drought killed the butterfly garden I planted with such anticipation last Fall. Will try again next year I guess.
