The weekend of October 2, 1999 as I went to take part of my garden fence down for the winter I noticed two Chrysalis hanging down. I went to get my camera & took pictures. The next week they hatched. I noticed one monarch still feeding on some purple aster like flowers while I was planting blueberry bushes. I have only noticed a few monarchs this year passing through.
