Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/14/1999

Number: 1

I'm still seeing a few monarchs at Rocky Knob.

On Oct 14th, there were seven. I watched from 9 am till 2:30 pm. The
wind was very strong till about 1:30. It was about 35 to 40 mph from the
nw gradually becoming more westerly around noon. Then it became rather
variable from west to northeast at only about 10 to 15 mph around one
thirty.

The temperature ranged from 41 F to 51 F.

There were no monarchs until about 1:30.
