We planted our tulips exactly according to instructions on a beautiful cool fall day. We are also experimenting by planting some tulips upside down, without their tunics, dissected, sideways, 4 inches deep, 10 inches deep, 12 inches deep, large bulbs (3 of them that are 40 grams+), and small bulbs (under 30 grams), roots cut off, and planted 2 inches apart. We'll let you know what happens!!
