Seven monarchs were observed at Rocky Knob between 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm on 14 Oct 99. We watched for migrating birds and butterflies from 9:30 a.m. till 2:30. The wind was as strong as 35 to 40 mph till about 1:30. Skies mostly clear. temperature ranged from 42F to 51F.
