Signs of Fall

Date: 10/27/1999

Number: 1

We still have hundreds of blackbird here in York. This is the longest anyone can remember them sticking around. The trees around our courthouse and filled with them every night. They have been here for almost a month. They never stay that long. We are very warm here still, it was in the mid 80's today, and we are very, very dry. We've had only .99" of precipitation since school started in August. We wonder when they will finally leave.
