Our sixth grade classes planted 100 red emperor tulips in the school courtyard. Students wrote their names on popsicle sticks to mark where they planted their tupils so they can keep track of their plants in the spring. This is the first time we have used this method so we are not sure whether the popsicle sticks will endure the ice and snow of winter. It was a beautiful fall day and we were glad to be outside.
