Gateway Environmental Study Center has an on going Wildlife Habitat. It is named for our beloved John Kominski, an environmental educator from NYC who changed the lives of all us here in the New York City with his passion and love of nature and was tragically killed two years ago. The Kominski Wildlife Garden is tribute to his life work. Today October 30 th students from the Urban Resource Partnership conducted here in NYC by Cornell Cooperative Extention and Friends of Gateway, had a fall planting. We planted 50 daffodils and woodchiped around our wildflower garden.
