Four students and I were north of the Farallon Islands whale watching in mid October. W were watching to humbacks migrating about 200 yds away when two sea turtles surfaced right near the boat. They were leatherbacks, 6-7 feet long. Does anyone know how unusual this sighting was? Mr. Haynie: wccmv19@wccusd.k12.ca.us
