Planted 50 tulips. The weather was sunny and reached a high of 58 degrees. That evening a heavy frost blanketed the ground. Prior to planting, the students weighed and measured the tulip bulbs. The tulip bulbs were planted in a circular flower bed surrounding a young tree which grew from a seed off of a Mount Vernon Sweet Buckeye tree originating from the home of George Washington. The students estimated the tulips will emerge in late January and bloom in mid-March. We realize God created these beautiful flowers and look forward to enjoying the flowers when they bloom.
