Signs of Fall

Date: 11/04/1999

Number: 1

Last night (11/3/99) the temperatures in Western Georgia along the border with Alabama flirted with freezing. A frost is expected for tonight. I realize frosts are no big news to those who live up North, but this is our first.

The plants on the front porch were going to meet their doom. I don't know what happens to the pansies people plant around here. I awoke this morning to find that my apartment had no heat. Fortunately, the temperature was a balmy 63 farenheit. Well it was liveable and it has taken me a long time to notice
that I have no heat. Brrrr....

Well the frost wasn't or rather it wasn't a killer. Those ugly plants on my front porch are still hanging in there as are some wild flowers outside and I saw a camelia bush with pink blossoms on my way to work this morning...West orgia feels like spring in the day time.
