Hi, We are from columbine Middle School in Montrose Colorado. We planted our Red Emperor tulips on October 20, 1999. We planted them in front of the Columbine sign in wooden planters. When we planted them the weather was fairly warm. the temperature has not gone below 30 degrees F. We have no idea when the first hard freeze will come since it has been unseasonably warm. We predict the tulips will emerge on April 1 and blom on april 30.
