The weather has been quite mild this fall. Each time I had expected that I had seen the last Monarch Butterfly, I would be surprized again. I have seen Monarchs throughout October in various locations in my county. We would usually see them around 1:00pm during the warmest (sometimes 60's) part of the day. In each case, they were heading southwest.
