We planted our garden, December 17,1999. This was our last day of school this year. Local tulip experts advised us as to plant now instead of in January. Since we are in the hills of North Georgia our temperatures are colder than even Atlanta, which is 50 miles to the south. This is our third or fourth year of participating in the Tulip Garden Project. Offshoots of the Tulip project have resulted in our having planted over 12,000 bulbs around our school. We have 10,000 bulbs enroute to us to plant when we return to school.
