Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Ten monarch larvae and one queen larva seen on Mexican milkweed @ Suter Refuge. Lengths of larvae varied from 4 to 6 cm. Conditions: overcast, temp. low 60's, winds NNE @10-15mph. Preceeding two days had temps in the mid-80s. January very dry so far, but pentas, lantana, and milkweed all flowering. No adults seen today, even of other species of butterflies.
