While sitting at the kitchen table, I looked out at the bird feeders and was amazed to see a fat robin sitting on top of the large feeder. My husband thought that perhaps it was a straggler that never left, but the next morning,1/29/00, we saw 6 robins on the roof of the shed! What a funny sight at this time of year on top of all the snow and bitterly cold weather. Other years we have seen robins in late Feb. but never this early!
