We received a call from our neighbor that he saw a bald eagle land in our maple tree in our backyard. It was snowing and when we looked out the window, we were amazed. There he was, no more than 25 feet away, large as day. While he was there, no little birds or animals were around. We could not tell if it was a female or a male, but it was huge! It had a fully white head, and brown body, and he had a white tail. When we looked through our spotting scope, you could see he had some fur in his beak. We guessed that he had caught something and decided to eat it in our tree. After 30 mins,he flew away. It was so neat to see him fly. I have never seen something so big, so close! We will never forget that day.
