Warmer temperatures today exposed large patches of earth from under our 20 inch snowfall. Large numbers of robins were drinking water from puddles in our driveway today and I actually saw one robin stretch an earthworm out of the ground. I guess the earthworms have no choice but to float to the top since we had 1.25 inches of rain on Sunday on top of the snow!
