I started exactly one year ago and since then I've planted over 50 species of plants with about 85% of them being native. I had two hummers from spring to fall and countless butterflies (especially monarchs and gulf fritallaries). I'm designing a whole other area to see if I can't double the number of hummers without the use of feeders. I'd be interested in hearing from others that are on the north side of Houston.
