The majority of our tulips emerged during the week of Jan.28-Feb.4. Soil temp. was 54 degrees F, air temps. were in the upper 60's daytime, 38-40 nights. These bulbs were actually planted on 12/14/99 because we were not in school during Jan. Their emergence is consistant with other gardeners' tulip beds in our area. Our weather has been unusually dry, warm and mild.
