We have observed monarch butterflies and caterpillars in our class garden all winter long. This week our milkweed only has 13 leaves total between the 3 plants, but we counted 2 caterpillars and 5 eggs on them. We also sighted 2 adult monarchs this week. (We released 2 adults on Friday that we had taken into our classroom to raise.)
