We saw the tulips on February 4.It was a nice sunny day,but after school the deer
nibbled on the primroses that we also planted in this flower bed.
Some wire was put over the tulips for protection.We went to check on them again on Feb.9
and saw more.fifty tulips were planted to represent the fifty states of America.
We are anxious for the red blooms of the tulips to make our patriotic garden complete.
We have a Mount Vernon sweet Buckeye tree in the middle of the garden.It originated from
George Washington's home in Mount Vernon.
