Our second trip to the sugar bush was on 2/10/00. We had tapped ten trees in January. At that time we were concerned with the lack of freezing temperatures. Right after that the weather turned cold and snowy. Last night was the first above freezing in 20+ nights.
Yesterday we collected a yield of three cups from tree one and 3.5 cups tree two. Tree four was leaking but had no bucket on it yet. We are going to hypothesise why those trees are producing and the others are not.
