Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 02/21/2000

Number: 1

Monday, February 21st, is the last date we observed overwintering monarchs in Houston. However, we have observed monarchs in Houston this entire winter. They have been laying eggs on surviving asclepias in the neighborhood. Some asclepias plants have died due to the long drought we have had in this area this year.
