We have had temperatures in the upper 50's and lower 60's over the last several days. I noticed my flowers at home on Saturday Feb. 19th had emerged, so I prompted my students to check our tulip garden on Tuesday (We were off for Pres. Day on Monday). They were excited and counted the little green tulip tips several times. We had good luck, nine of the ten tulips had emerged.

They have checked them several times this week. They have grown about 3 cm already. We are hoping they will be safe and not get frost bitten. Our weather has been unseasonably warm for Feb.
