While looking for future fishing spots on "Old Number Seven Chute" along the Mississippi River, a friend and I spotted a flock(?) of 20-25 White Pelicans. This is the first time either of us have seen them in this area. He is a native, and a life long resident of Mississippi County, MO.

The location was -89.25W by 36.60N. The date: 02-29-2000.. the time: 12:20 PM. It was sunny, breezy with a temp of 65-70.
