The wave of robins that arrived in our neighborhood on Saturday, March 4th, was the largest group I've ever witnessed. At least hundreds of robins were on the ground and in the trees within a two block radius. They were so persistent that a downpour of rain didn't deter their finding worms in the loose soil. However, when the lighting and thunder grew closer, the robins flew to take shelter in the trees. When the storm was over, the robins returned to the yard and flew between trees with a sweet chirping frenzy. The folllowing morning, they had flown-north I presume. I look forward to learning where this WAVE went on Sunday, March 5th,2000.
