Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/07/2000

Number: 1

While the third graders were outside during their PE classes, Stuart, from Mrs. Kelso's class, spotted our first monarch on this spring. He was sitting on a piece of grass and sort of "fluttering around from here to there". The wing colors were very bright and we think it may have just emerged. Stuart says it had no dust on it and it didn't look dirty at all.
