Wow- it MUST be spring! Today, on my way home from school at the bottom of my laneway, I saw my very first turkey vulture of the year! This is the earliest I have every seen one...and Pat Potter, a friend of mine who lives about 40 km north of me in a house made out of tires, saw a turkey vulture soaring over her swamp. Yippee! I know that turkey vultures may not seem to be very exciting, but there is a colony of them which lives on some cliffs by Moira Lake near my farm, and they entertain us with their beautiful flights over the neighbourhood.
