During my bird count for the Cornell Laboratory I sighted an adult bald eagle out in our back forty acres. Recently a white tailed deer was killed out on the state highway in front of our home. My husband and I moved it off the road and placed the carcass by our bluebird trail. We were curious about what would be attracted to it and also wanted to make it safer for the wildlife rather than on the busy road.
I was totally surprised to see an adult eagle out there on the morning of March 10th. I watched and took photos and truly felt blessed to witness the eagle this close .
