I live just a few miles east of Dorchester, Ontario... we had our first
robins around the farm just prior to the warm spell of March 6th... their
songs were very welcome and during that warm week it felt just like spring
had really arrived! However, we are now under a blanket of 5cm of snow
that arrived last night in less than 6 hours. I ran out this morning to
uncover the feeders and set out fruit for the early birds... grackles and robins alike.
