With a recent tendency toward warmer weather our tulips have emerged as of March 11, 2000. This years garden is adjacent to last years garden, whose bulbs we left in the ground, and the tulips from the previous year emerged a full 2 weeks earlier than the 2000 garden. We also planted an experimental garden, having manipulated the bulbs or planting procedure in some particular way, and will be watching closely to see what happens.
