Red-winged Blackbird (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/01/2000

Number: 1

I went over to the Concord Meadows National Wildlife Refuge on March 1 at or about 4 P.M. Male Red-Winged Blackbirds were singing in the swamp grasses. The following day, March 2 , Red Wings (maybe 6) were found feeding on seeds beneath my feeder in my backyard in West Roxbury which is a section of Boston bordering the town of Dedham.
