Yesterday,Evacuation Day/St. Patrick's Day, a no-school day for the Boston Public Schools, a female Red-Winged Blackbird was feeding in my backyard. Males usually arrive 1st followed in a few weeks by the females. as previously reported, the 1st Male was sighted in my backyard on March 2. That seems about right.
