Red-winged Blackbird (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/11/2000

Number: 1

In one day we saw 5 different groups of Redwing Blackbirds in 3 different locations. Dyer's Bay, East Road and Cape Chin. It was near sunset and we saw them going enmasse from tree to tree and feeding on the ground. A few hung out by themselves in near-by trees. Since the first sighting, they have become more numerous and can be heard down any back road up here on the Bruce Peninsula. This place is bursting at the seems with Springtime!
