Hi JN,
I saw the first meadowlark of the year today, sitting on a phone line signing away. I had seen 1 70 miles south on Saturday. It's song was slightly different from the typical song, so I accused it of being a mimic starling. Fortunately, I did investigate and found the real meadowlark, ignoring my insults and singing away. Spring has sprung.
