Yesterday, one of my students reported seeing the first robin of the year. Her sighting was confirmed that night by the sight of another. This morning a friendly robin that was very interested in establishing his territory woke me up at 4:50am. He continued until dawn at 6:20am. I was excited to hear him even though I lost sleep due to his arrival.
