After banding Common Redpolls for the past 2 1/2 months and doing about 700 of them, they disappeared and 3 days ago a whole new flock started to come in. Now each day we see many more, presumably moving north. In the last 3 days we have banded another 350 of them with very few retrapped birds from earlier bandings.
