All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/24/2000

Number: 1

March 24 I heard peepers for the first time and saw
the first Killdeer. Earlier this week I saw
the first Woodchuck venturing out of his hole.
March 25 I believe I saw a Great Blue Heron on a nest
in a large rookerie next to I81 in southern
Oswego county. I was traveling north at about
65MPH so I cant be sure. Walleye pike are
spawning in Onieda Lake.
