Our Official JN tulips, that were "properly planted", emerged today. For an experiment, bulbs in the back half of the garden were planted only 4" deep instead of the 7" required. Of those experimental bulbs, almost all were unearthed by squirrels last fall. A single plant did emerge 5 days earlier than those 7" deep.
