The weather here is St. Charles has been very warm this winter. The tulips bloomed at least one full week before last year's date. As a side note: the magnolia trees bloomed in mid-march.
Unfortunately, a very hard frost hit the St. Charles area at the blooms height. Now many of the trees have brown blooms on them.
It was really sad to see that happen to such a lovely blossom.
