At our school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, we have two native plant parks that we have planted and cared for during the past five years. On April 3 we noticed that the wolf willow shrubs have pussy willow budsand they just emerged. Today, April 4, there are are few soft, fuzzy, pussy willows already out. We think that this is because the air temperature is warmer and there are chinook winds that are keeping the air warmer. The sun is shining and the earth is warming up. Spring is finally here!
