We began tapping the sugar maple trees on our property on March 5, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. All of the 101 taps were showing signs of steady sap production. It was cloudy and a bit cool (3 degrees celcius). By the end of the day, we had collected approximately 230 litres of sap.
