Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/06/2000

Number: 1

The Monarch was looking for food. A group of my friends and I were in Mexico March 11-18, 2000 with Dr. Bill Calvert. We visited three colonies---Herrada, El Rosario, and Chincua--while there. It was thrilling to see the thousands of Monarchs and to visit in several of the schools near the colonies. This was a dream come true for us. One day we hope to visit again.
Now we are excited that the Monarchs are returning to Georgia and the rest of the U.S.A. for the spring and summer.
