Dear Journey North,

The leaves on our dogwood tree are now bigger than a quarter. We thought our tree had light green flowers, but they're not. They are really called bracts. The true flowers are in the middle of the bracts. The true flowers are miniature spheres that are bunched together and connected to the stem.
