On Monday, April 10, Toronto was hit by a blast of freezing temperatures and cold, but the following Saturday, April 15th, we had temperatures up to 24 C in Toronto. On Monday, April 17th, I noted in the northern part of Toronto that most forsythia shrubs had broken into yellow bloom. Also, the buds of the magnolia trees/shrubs had started to burst open and and the white floral tips were showing.
